Stop tracking fuel taxes in every state separately. IFTA consolidates all your fuel tax obligations into one quarterly filing. We handle the math, the paperwork, and the deadlines — quarter after quarter.
The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) simplifies fuel tax reporting for carriers operating in multiple US states and Canadian provinces. Instead of filing separate returns per state, you file one quarterly return with your base jurisdiction.
Who Must File?
Qualified motor vehicles operating in two or more member jurisdictions with two or more axles and a GVW over 26,000 lbs — or any combination vehicle exceeding 26,000 lbs — are required to file under IFTA.
Quarterly Filings.
IFTA returns are due quarterly: April 30, July 31, October 31, and January 31. We prepare and file each return based on your fuel receipts and mileage logs, ensuring accurate calculations each period.
Fuel Tax Calculation.
IFTA computes the net tax owed or refund due based on where fuel was purchased versus where miles were driven. States with higher fuel tax rates may create a net balance owed; we reconcile every jurisdiction automatically.
IFTA Decal & License.
In addition to quarterly returns, carriers must display IFTA decals (one per cab side) and carry a valid IFTA license. We process your initial license application and annual decal renewals so your truck is always inspection-ready.
Avoid Costly Penalties.
Late IFTA filings result in a $50 penalty plus interest on unpaid taxes. Failure to display decals can lead to fines at roadside inspections. Let us handle the deadlines so you can focus on driving.
