What carriers are saying

Real feedback from owner-operators and fleet managers we've helped get compliant.

“GoTrucking was great, I’m a new owner operator with a small fleet unfamiliar with the authority and DOT world. Monica and Griselda made my life and business a lot easier by always being there to answer any questions or concerns. Their prices are fair and they always had a good attitude. Some parts of the process were difficult and confusing but they made it simple and understandable. I highly recommend this company.”

Gene Soto
Owner-Operator, Valley Glen, CA

“The team at Go Trucking USA are a trusted and invaluable partner for me and my company. I have trusted GTU with my company needs since December 2020 and I have never had second thoughts about choosing them to help me navigate the complicated compliance and operations side of the business. The team always seem happy to help me with my needs and are really good at what they do as shown as occasionally flexing their knowledge and experience to help me avoid penalties. Case in point, my IFTA transactions are always done correctly and on time. I fully recommend Go Trucking USA services to any owner/operator. They will take care of your needs in an efficient and friendly manner. I specifically recommend Monica and/or Criselda, they are simply outstanding girls to do business with.”

Frequently asked questions

Don't see your question here? Send us a message and we'll get back to you within one business day.

Do I need a DOT number?
If you operate a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce — crossing state lines — you are required to have a USDOT number. This applies to vehicles over 10,001 lbs, those carrying hazardous materials, or vehicles designed to transport 9 or more passengers for compensation.
What is the difference between a DOT number and an MC number?
A DOT number is a safety identification number assigned to all commercial carriers. An MC number (Motor Carrier authority) is required specifically for for-hire carriers transporting regulated goods across state lines. Many carriers need both, but not all.
How long does it take to get my credentials?
DOT numbers are typically issued within 1–2 business days. MC authority takes 21 days due to a mandatory FMCSA protest period. IRP plates and state permits vary by jurisdiction but are usually processed within 5–10 business days after all documents are received.
I already have a DOT number. Can you still help me?
Absolutely. We handle updates, biennial renewals, MC authority, IRP registration, IFTA filings, state permits, Form 2290, and VIN verifications for carriers who are already registered. Ongoing compliance management is one of our most popular services.
What states require special permits beyond federal registration?
Several states have additional requirements. California requires a CA number and Motor Carrier Permit. New Mexico, Kentucky, Oregon, and New York all have weight-distance or highway use taxes that require separate registration and quarterly filings. We handle all of them.
Can you help with IFTA and Form 2290 every year or quarter?
Yes. We offer ongoing quarterly IFTA filing services and annual Form 2290 (HVUT) e-filing. Many of our clients use us year-round to handle all recurring compliance obligations so nothing falls through the cracks.
